I was studying Spanish for a few weeks out there and took a weekend trip with my friend, Ben from Minnesota, to visit the lake. Lake Atitlan is a very popular tourist destination in Guatemala. The biggest city on the lake is Panajachel (Pana) but its a big tourist trap. We opted for the more quiet town that is mostly resorts that offer yoga, Qi Gong and massage. We took a hike one day, ate organic vegetarian food and took some great photos.
