Sabras Cactus Painting
8″ x10″ Acrylic on canvas – Sabras (Cactus Fruit) 2007
I used to pick them myself when I lived on the farm in Israel and when I would go back and visit for the summers. They have these tiny micro thorns on the fruit so you have to be real careful and pick them with gloves and then wash them off with a high pressure hose. The thorns on the cactus are easy to see and avoid by the thorns on the fruit are so small they are almost invisible to the naked human eye.
